Personal Portfolio Page

Throughout my life, I have embarked on a journey of exploration and self-discovery, traversing the globe and immersing myself in diverse cultures. From volunteering in remote communities to living and working in different countries, each experience has shaped me in profound ways. Along the way, I have acquired a wealth of skills and knowledge, cultivating my expertise in project management, photography, digital art, the music and tourism industry. With an insatiable curiosity and an open mind, I have embraced the complexities of life, constantly seeking new challenges and opportunities to grow. As I navigate this ever-changing world, my passion lies in sharing my unique perspective and contributing to meaningful projects that make a difference.

CLICK ON THE VARIOUS BUTTONS TO READ MORE! Below is a quick overview of the type of skills I have developed during my work for various businesses and individuals. While it might look like a quite complicated bunch of random things, I tended to hyper-fixate and thus throughoutly explore and learn each of these to various degrees. Depending on the type of industry or business, this is a map bound to expand... what I think is most important in todays world is to be flexible and continuously take in new information, new approaches and new views on things to stay on top of the exponentially changing and evolving world. Feel free to pick any part of the texts and ask me about it for more detailed info and back stories...

Having gained real-life experience in the Wild West of the music industry, I did my PRINCE2 Foundations and Practitioner certificates with a perpetual "yeah but ..."-voice echoing in my mind.

With a lot of practical knowledge in crisis management and working with difficult individuals, I am not afraid of taking on even the most unusual ventures, as long as they are qualitative, align with my morals and ethics, and promise a somewhat fair and healthy working environment (lets not sugarcoat it).

Being quite creative on one hand, and having been raised very German/Japanese ("Ordnung und Disziplin!!"), I do like to have my ducks in a row and therefore usually end up doing all the management, administration and everything else connected to the organization regardless of what the initial tasks are.

I do however enjoy hands-on work a lot and am actively searching for well-balanced opportunities to do both - the managing as well as the on-location work, out there in the snow, on the road, on a plane, or on a boat.

Due to my history of travel in life, I am very adjustable to environments and situations, which is handy in situations where good negotiation or diplomacy skills are required, as well as when working in an environment that tends to be either very rough or very unpredictable.

Finding solutions to challenges, optimizing things, researching (and researching more and a bit more...), and having the pleasure of seeing a project and people thrive are the things that drive me.

While I do work as a freelancer providing project-based services, I am not against entering a long-time engagement either, granted it is interesting and sustainable for both parties.

Getting my first camera at age 8, and my parents themselves being very well versed in documenting life and the world on VHS tape, as well as living in two countries at the same time has brought along a natural wish and need to eternalize moments and keep memories.

Buying my first "more serious" Lumix camera in 2011, and many subsequent ones, steadily increasing in size and weight, it proved to be a brilliant tool against anxiety and insomnia which naturally came with the lifestyle in mad, central Tokyo.

Add having a genius best friend who taught me everything from 3D modeling to macro and infrared photography, I spent my time in Japan exploring and photographing its uniqueness in all kinds of forms (such as 360 and even aerial, before it became illegal).

This organically turned into a side hustle, filming interviews, making catalog shoots, or just covering events. Once I returned to Europe, the options were limitless, just like the scenes, when working as an artist manager, traveling the world and doing all the social media content creation, travel filming, live events, and other creative work such as flyers, banners, or covers.

After all my gear was 35-degree Celsius proof, I switched that to -35 degrees Celsius (and lower), shooting 200km North of the Arctic Circle, flying through the frozen wilderness, and following the daily madness of a sled dog kennel and arctic adventure company surrounded by pristine, deadly postcard nature.

The main idea behind it being able to visualize my dreams (now conveniently made simpler with the continuously evolving AI), I started working with 3D programs in 2015. Days of rendering in Daz3D and endless possibilities in Cinema4D and Octane, I loved escaping into the world of CGI.

Through these tools, I've created a virtual reality world, crafted graphics and animations for book covers and CD booklets, and brought to life interior design and renovation visualizations for various building projects, as well as utilizing exciting new approaches using lidar and photogrammetry, collecting 3D "memories" wherever my travels take me or mapping environments and architecture. In this realm of limitless capability, I am happily looking toward a future with more XR and AI, while still valuing traditional art and skills (I know, it's a complicated relationship).

During my 20s, I had the opportunity to work as a fashion model, navigating the bustling fashion scenes of Tokyo, Japan, and various locations across Europe, balancing my modeling career alongside my studies in Japan (and being able to pay school and life there). Working for brands like Armani, Olympus, L'Oreal, Issey Miyake, and Shiseido, I experienced the exhilaration of fashion shows and catalog shoots. Yet, it was the artistic photoshoots for fashion schools and underground designers that truly ignited my passion.
